What to learn a new skill, create something gorgeous for your home AND spend time with friends? A lampshade making party run by Ruth from Quincy Lampshades is just the ticket! Organise your lovely peeps, a suitable space and bring a few things. You’ll each need half a metre of your favourite fabric and a pair of general purpose scissors. Ruth will bring everything else you need to make a drum lampshade in the size of your choice, and because I don’t teach using pre-assembled kits you’ll learn the fundamentals of lampshade-making and other helpful hints for a professional finish. You’ll have plenty of time to catch up with friends during your 3-hour party and, even though there may be no wine or beer involved, come the end you’ll be so chuffed with your creations you’ll definitely be dancing!
